The session will discuss the development of the 2014 edition of NFPA 58 “LP-Gas Code.”  The process is nearing completion but there’s still time to make your voice heard at NFPA’s Annual Membership Meeting.  Learn about the newest changes to the code, including underground piping systems protection, training requirements and much more.

Fast Track: NFPA 58 & IFC Comparisons
Speakers: Bruce Swiecicki, Senior Technical Advisor, National Propane Gas Association
 
This session will provide information to companies with operations in geographic areas where the International Fire Code (IFC) is being enforced.  Although the IFC provides requirements for propane installations and systems, it also refers to NFPA 58 LP-Gas Code as the code to be followed for installations which are not addressed by the IFC.  The session will explain the relationship between the two codes and how industry personnel should proceed when making such an installation.

Fast Track: DOT Compliance and Inspections

Join this session for a discussion of the federal rules that cover compliance and inspection for the propane industry. The presentation will include the Department of Transportation regulations covering the propane industry including the transportation of propane, the equipment used in transportation, and the enforcement of these provisions by the federal government. This session will address a broad range of regulations including any recent updates and changes to the regulations.

Fast Track:  Everything You Need to Know about Crane Operator Certification and the OSHA Rule

The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) was established to set performance standards for crane operators and other crane-related personnel to ensure the highest levels of safety on all job sites.  The regulatory landscape of personnel certification in the crane industry has changed significantly in the last 10 years, and it has a major impact on crane users.  Find out how the new OSHA rule for cranes and derricks in construction will have a direct impact on the propane industry.
